Hello, my name is Jack. I am a 6 year old, happy-go-lucky purebred English Cocker Spaniel. I recently came into rescue from Manhattan Animal Care and Control, where I was an owner turn-in. As my temperament is in fact fabulous, I can assure you that I did nothing to deserve it. Sadly, mine was a love story simply gone wrong. Who can say why my owners fell out of love with me? From my own side, I loved them unconditionally from the time I joined their family until the moment they walked away (in a corner of my heart, I love them still, although I know that they are gone forever). There is nothing like love on the rebound, though, to trigger an instant spark, so I am sure to love you in a flash if given half the chance! I am a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. I get along well with other animals, so will happily share both hearth and home with other pets. Before leaving rescue I will be treated to a dental cleaning as well as to a professional grooming and will go home with a new leash and collar.
